Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy, Telecoms and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which rose 2.91% or 166.00 points to trade at 5880.00 at the close. Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) added 2.49% or 1.89 points to end at 77.86 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) was up 2.29% or 1.40 points to 62.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR), which lost 2.74% or 1.33 points to trade at 47.15 in late trade. Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) declined 2.04% or 0.12 points to end at 5.77 and Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) shed 1.95% or 0.79 points to 39.76.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.81% or 0.38 to $46.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.93% or 0.45 to hit $48.16 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.36% or 17.35 to trade at $1290.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.20% to 4.2975, while USD/PLN fell 0.86% to 3.8883.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.54% at 97.79.
