Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Real Estate, Pharmaceutical Industry and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 1.61% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which rose 6.38% or 6.60 points to trade at 110.00 at the close. CDM (CS:CDM) added 5.72% or 26 points to end at 480 and AFMA SA (CS:AFM) was up 5.16% or 48 points to 978 in late trade.
Biggest losers included LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS:LHM), which lost 9.05% or 219 points to trade at 2201 in late trade. Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) declined 6.23% or 83 points to end at 1250 and Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) shed 4.61% or 6.50 points to 134.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 18 and 1 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.15% or 0.07 to $47.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $50.55 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.05 to trade at $1248.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.08% to 10.7760, while USD/MAD fell 0.06% to 9.9764.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 99.44.
