Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 2.54% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 0.09% or 0.10 points to trade at 110.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) fell 0.79% or 0.75 points to end at 93.75 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was down 1.04% or 1.7 points to 161.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 7.61% or 11.40 points to trade at 138.50 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 4.22% or 23.5 points to end at 534.0 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was down 3.70% or 6.40 points to 166.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 386 to 51 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.64% or 1.09 to $40.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.58% or 1.21 to hit $45.41 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.50% or 5.80 to trade at $1159.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.66% to 9.5132, while USD/SEK fell 1.66% to 8.3776.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.79% at 95.02.
