Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.24% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems (CO:VWS), which rose 2.93% or 12.9 points to trade at 453.7 at the close. Meanwhile, TDC A/S (CO:TDC) added 2.31% or 0.84 points to end at 37.18 and Genmab (CO:GEN) was up 1.94% or 17.0 points to 892.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which fell 1.76% or 5.6 points to trade at 312.0 at the close. Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) declined 1.62% or 7.1 points to end at 430.0 and William Demant Holding (CO:WDH) was down 0.89% or 6.0 points to 670.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 88 to 74 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Vestas Wind Systems (CO:VWS) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.93% or 12.9 to 453.7. Shares in Genmab (CO:GEN) rose to all time highs; rising 1.94% or 17.0 to 892.5.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.49% or 1.07 to $41.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.93% or 0.42 to hit $45.03 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.34% or 14.30 to trade at $1055.70 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.10% to 7.0384, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4610.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 100.08.
