Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.75% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 4.94% or 11.8 points to trade at 250.7 at the close. Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) added 2.41% or 7.8 points to end at 331.4 and Genmab (CO:GEN) was up 1.98% or 25.0 points to 1289.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which lost 4.14% or 31.5 points to trade at 730.0 in late trade. Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) declined 0.68% or 2.4 points to end at 351.8 and Nets A/S (CO:NETS) shed 0.63% or 0.70 points to 111.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 71 to 47 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.61% or 0.81 to $51.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.94% or 1.03 to hit $54.15 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 4.35 to trade at $1258.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.00% to 6.9718, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4364.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 100.46.
