Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa), which rose 1.49% or 1.8 points to trade at 122.8 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) added 1.45% or 1.35 points to end at 94.60 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) was up 1.11% or 1.00 points to 91.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which lost 5.63% or 7.80 points to trade at 130.80 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 2.55% or 2.20 points to end at 84.20 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) shed 1.53% or 1.10 points to 70.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 326 to 286 and 50 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $44.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.22% or 0.10 to hit $46.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.21% or 2.75 to trade at $1276.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.21% to 9.9422, while USD/SEK fell 0.11% to 9.0137.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 97.88.
