Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Construction & Building Materials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Involys (CS:INV), which rose 6.80% or 8.40 points to trade at 131.95 at the close. Unimer (CS:UMR) added 5.72% or 9.35 points to end at 172.95 and Colorado (CS:COL) was up 5.56% or 3.30 points to 62.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS), which lost 9.97% or 18.15 points to trade at 163.85 in late trade. Saham Assurance (CS:SAH) declined 5.96% or 78 points to end at 1230 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) shed 2.80% or 11 points to 382.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 15 and 10 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.25% or 0.61 to $49.51 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.87% or 0.45 to hit $51.91 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.82% or 10.27 to trade at $1266.67 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.08% to 10.9230, while USD/MAD rose 0.18% to 9.7732.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 97.37.
