Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.17% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which rose 2.78% or 10.0 points to trade at 370.0 at the close. Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) added 2.50% or 7.1 points to end at 291.5 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) was up 1.98% or 240 points to 12340 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which lost 1.88% or 11.0 points to trade at 574.0 in late trade. Nets A/S (CO:NETS) declined 1.14% or 1.50 points to end at 129.90 and TDC A/S (CO:TDC) shed 0.69% or 0.27 points to 39.03.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 79 to 44 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.97% or 0.47 to $47.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.85% or 0.43 to hit $50.20 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.73% or 9.29 to trade at $1276.29 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.48% to 6.6023, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4396.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 96.72.
