Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Services, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.36% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 3.45% or 0.8 points to trade at 24.0 at the close. Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) added 1.29% or 15.0 points to end at 1180.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 1.15% or 50.0 points to 4380.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 3.12% or 270.0 points to trade at 8380.0 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 2.50% or 16.0 points to end at 625.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 1.12% or 120.0 points to 10600.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 11 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 0.12% or 0.16 to $139.23 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.50% or 10.50 to hit $2094.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.83% or 10.35 to trade at $1243.35 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.24% to 2886.43, while BRL/COP fell 0.54% to 917.42.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 100.37.
