Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Electricity, Services and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI), which rose 2.56% or 0.200 points to trade at 8.000 at the close. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) added 2.13% or 0.140 points to end at 6.700 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) was up 2.13% or 0.090 points to 4.310 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sider (LM:SID), which lost 2.09% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.375 in late trade. Credicorp (LM:BAP) declined 1.45% or 2.50 points to end at 169.50 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) shed 0.98% or 0.020 points to 2.020.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 9 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 5.24% or 2.69 to $48.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.14% or 0.07 to hit $51.34 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.39 to trade at $1255.49 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2685, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6637.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 97.14.
