Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Telecoms and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.09% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 0.98% or 0.17 points to trade at 17.47 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 0.80% or 0.055 points to end at 6.935 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 0.80% or 0.20 points to 25.23 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 1.63% or 0.61 points to trade at 36.81 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.47% or 0.1100 points to end at 7.3750 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) shed 0.78% or 0.29 points to 37.12.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 76 to 58 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.99% or 0.51 to $51.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.39% or 0.68 to hit $49.58 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.71% or 8.92 to trade at $1265.32 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.41% to 1.1164, while EUR/GBP rose 0.83% to 0.8733.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 97.46.
