Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 2.65% or 104 points to trade at 4034 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) added 2.56% or 31 points to end at 1244 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 2.09% or 1450 points to 70860 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Discount (TA:DSCT), which fell 2.73% or 21.0 points to trade at 747.5 at the close. Leumi (TA:LUMI) declined 2.26% or 35 points to end at 1515 and Poalim (TA:POLI) was down 2.16% or 45 points to 2039.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 166 to 161 and 122 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.34% or 0.16 to $46.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.76% or 0.88 to hit $48.88 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.17% or 1.90 to trade at $1117.10 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.58% to 3.8825, while EUR/ILS rose 0.81% to 4.3935.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 95.39.
