Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LISBON:ALSS), which rose 1.63% or 0.0630 points to trade at 3.9300 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco BPI (LISBON:BBPI) added 1.60% or 0.0180 points to end at 1.1400 and Nos SGPS SA (LISBON:NOS) was up 1.49% or 0.1080 points to 7.3610 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teixeira Duarte (LISBON:TDSA), which fell 2.93% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.4640 at the close. Banif SA (LISBON:BANIF) declined 2.56% or 0.0001 points to end at 0.0038 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LISBON:BCP) was down 1.80% or 0.0011 points to 0.0600.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 34 to 21 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 3.54% or 1.81 to $53.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.64% or 1.74 to hit $49.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.45% or 5.20 to trade at $1143.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1285, while EUR/GBP rose 0.37% to 0.7363.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.30% at 95.36.
