Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Transport, Tourism and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.25% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which rose 4.55% or 0.520 points to trade at 11.950 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) added 4.29% or 0.100 points to end at 2.430 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 3.85% or 0.110 points to 2.970 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI), which lost 2.30% or 0.64 points to trade at 27.20 in late trade. Tat Gida Sanayi AS (IS:TATGD) declined 1.79% or 0.130 points to end at 7.130 and Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS) shed 1.71% or 1.15 points to 66.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 194 to 146 and 65 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.13% or 1.62 to $1244.18 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.31% or 0.59 to hit $45.52 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.24% or 0.59 to trade at $48.22 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.27% to 3.5175, while EUR/TRY fell 0.54% to 4.0172.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 95.47.
