Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Textile & Leather and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.69% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which rose 9.45% or 0.950 points to trade at 11.000 at the close. Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) added 8.70% or 0.220 points to end at 2.750 and Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) was up 6.24% or 2.46 points to 41.86 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Net Turizm Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:NTTUR), which lost 2.02% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.940 in late trade. Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) declined 1.95% or 0.080 points to end at 4.020 and Bagfas Bandirma Gubre Fabrikalari AS (IS:BAGFS) shed 1.85% or 0.22 points to 11.66.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 220 to 118 and 66 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.51% or 6.37 to $1252.17 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.39% or 0.59 to hit $43.12 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.65% or 0.74 to trade at $45.56 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.54% to 3.5118, while EUR/TRY fell 0.60% to 3.9211.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 97.30.
