Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Tourism, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 9.09% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.240 at the close. Meanwhile, Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR) added 5.63% or 0.090 points to end at 1.690 and Bizim Magazalari (IS:BIZIM) was up 3.48% or 0.40 points to 11.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY), which fell 3.34% or 0.80 points to trade at 23.15 at the close. Ulker Biskuvi (IS:ULKER) declined 3.01% or 0.55 points to end at 17.70 and Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) was down 2.54% or 0.50 points to 19.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 208 to 189 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.44% or 5.00 to $1134.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 4.21% or 1.91 to hit $43.50 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 3.12% or 1.54 to trade at $48.02 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.62% to 2.9484, while EUR/TRY fell 0.03% to 3.3159.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 95.80.
