Investment Strategy

The Abax Diversified Income Prescient Fund will be a domestic fixed interest varied specialist portfolio. The objective of the portfolio is to provide relative capital stability and a high level of income. The Manager will invest in a diversified portfolio of bonds, fixed deposits, structured money market instruments, listed debentures and other high yielding securities. The portfolio is permitted to include investments in offshore jurisdictions subject to the investment conditions determined by the Registrar from time to time. The portfolio may also include participatory interests or any other form of participation in portfolios of collective investment schemes or other similar schemes. The portfolio is permitted to invest in financial instruments in line with the conditions as determined by the Registrar from time to time.

From 2002 to 2009 he was a portfolio manager at Prescient Investment Management. Rashaad has 15 years of investment experience.

Biography	Asief is a director and Chief Invesment Officer of Aeon Investment Management. He has 20 years investment experience, having previously been CIO at Metropolitan Asset Managers. In his capacity of CIO of Metropolitan Asset Managers oversaw the portfolio implementation process and risk management thereof on R10bn worth of fixed income portfolios.
