Investment Strategy

The aim of this Fund is to provide long-term capital growth over a period of 5 years or more. The Fund has at least 70% of its investments in shares of companies domiciled, incorporated or having significant business in the UK which the Manager believes will provide above-average returns. The Fund invests primarily in small companies. The Manager selects shares based upon analysis of a company’s financial status, quality of its management, expected profitability and prospects for growth.

Biography Chris joined AXA Framlington in 2005 and is the lead fund manager responsible for the UK Small Companies fund and the Throgmorton Trust. Biography Roger graduated from Cambridge University in 1991 with an honours degree in land economy. He joined Duncan Lawrie Private Bank as a trainee, becoming an analyst in UK Smaller Companies and manager of ethical funds. Roger moved to Laurence Keen (which became Rathbones Unit Trust Management) in January 1996. At Rathbones, he managed the UK Smaller Companies Unit Trust and the Capital Growth Fund. In 2005, Investment Week named Roger the UK Smaller Companies Fund Manager of the Year. In 2006, Professional Adviser awarded AXA Framlington the title of Best Smaller Companies Group and Roger was also named as Winner, The Hot 100 - Best Fund Manager over three years.
