Investment Strategy

Income Strategies Portfolio ("Income Strategies Portfolio") - seeks to provide high current income by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of U.S. companies' debt instruments, including corporate loans, which are rated in the lower rating categories of the established rating services (Baa or lower by Moody's Investors Service, Inc. ("Moody's") or BBB or lower by Standard & Poor's Ratings Service ("S&P") or unrated debt instruments of comparable quality in the opinion of the Investment Adviser. As a secondary objective, the Income Strategies Portfolio will seek capital appreciation.
