Investment Strategy

The European Equity Income Fund seeks an above average income from its equity investments without sacrificing long term capital growth. The Fund invests at least 70% of its total assets in equity securities of companies domiciled in, or exercising the predominant part of their economic activity in, Europe. The Fund’s exposure to contingent convertible bonds is limited to 5% of its total assets. The Fund may use derivatives for investment purposes and for the purposes of efficient portfolio management.

Ms. Gaskell's service with the firm dates back to 1994, including her years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006. At MLIM, she was responsible for managing Europe ex UK and Eurozone equity portfolios. Ms. Gaskell began her career with MLIM, and has managed European equity portfolios for institutional and retail clients since 1999. Ms. Gaskell earned a BA degree in politics and philosophy from Oxford University in 1994.
