By mainly investing over the long term in emerging equity markets around the world, the sub-fund's investment objective is to outperform the MSCI Emerging Markets Index EUR (Net) (the “Index”) while also attempting to keep risk losses below average. Neither capital preservation nor capital gains are guaranteed. To achieve its objective, the sub-fund invests at least 51% of its assets in equities. By using a value-oriented approach, the sub-fund endeavours to benefit from inefficiencies in emerging markets by adopting a quantitative investment process combining active market selection and active equity selection. A proportion of the sub-fund’s assets can also be invested in equities (from emerging or other markets) which, based on the appraisal of the investment adviser, have advantageous valuation characteristics. There is no plan to use financial derivative instruments
