The aim of this Sub-Fund is to actively manage a diversified portfolio, invested mainly (minimum 2/3 of the portfolio) in Transferable Securities and fixed income Money Market Instruments issued by public or private issuers in low or middleincome developing countries. These countries are often referred to as the "emerging markets". The majority of investments are to be carried out in South and Central America (including the Caribbean), Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. More specifically, investments will be made in countries where the manager is able to assess the specific political and economic risks and in countries that have undertaken certain economic reforms and which have reached certain growth objectives.

Biography | Marcelo Assalin, CFA, an Associate of William Blair Investment Management, LLC, the head of the Emerging Markets Debt team. He is also a member of the leadership team for William Blair Investment Management. Prior to joining William Blair, Marcelo was the Head of Emerging Markets Debt at NN Investment Partners (formerly ING Investment Management), a role he began in 2015. Additionally, he was the lead portfolio manager for blended debt portfolios. Previously, Marcelo was the lead portfolio manager for NNIP’s local currency strategies. Before joining NNIP in 2013, he was a senior EMD portfolio manager and then head of EM Sovereign Debt at ING IM USA (now Voya Financial). Prior to ING IM, Marcelo was with SulAmerica Investimentos in various investment capacities, including CIO from 2005 to 2008. He began his career as a credit analyst at Bank Boston in Sao Paulo, covering Brazilian companies. He also has the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Prior to joining William Blair, Marco was the lead portfolio manager within the Emerging Markets Debt team at NN Investment Partners (formerly ING Investment Management), responsible for managing EMD Hard Currency portfolios. Before joining NNIP in 2013, Marco was a senior fund manager for EMD at Mn Services in the Netherlands where he managed various EMD portfolios. Prior to this, he worked with the Investment Strategy and Risk Management team. Marco began his career in 1998 as an Investment Trainee at Mn. He also has the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Biography | Victor Rodriguez is a Senior Portfolio Manager with over 20 years experience in Emerging Markets, corporate bonds and investment banking. Victor joined ING in 2003 and became the global lead portfolio manager for non-sovereign credits in 2008. Before joining ING, Victor was with GMA Partners (a boutique investment banking firm in Atlanta), the Corporate Finance Private Placements Group of Wachovia Securities, and Prudential Capital (the private placement arm of The Prudential Insurance Company). Victor received an A.B. from Cornell University and his M.B.A. from Emory University where he was a Woodruff Scholar. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. | ||

Biography | Bart van der Made, CFA, Managing Director, joined Neuberger Berman in 2013. Mr. van der Made is a lead Portfolio Manager on the Emerging Markets Debt team, responsible for managing EMD Hard Currency portfolios. Prior to joining Neuberger Berman, Mr. van der Made held various roles at ING Investment Management, most recently since 2009, as lead Portfolio Manager of emerging markets debt (hard currency). From 2005 onwards, Mr. van der Made was a Senior Portfolio Manager and before that was the EMD Economist — the role in which he joined in 2000. Mr. van der Made earned a master's degree in Econometrics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, and has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. |
