The M1 Capital Global Equity Prescient Fund will aim to deliver capital growth and superior returns over the medium to long-term. The fund aims to achieve this objective by investing in a spread of equity securities by investing in a diversified basket of shares across the globe that is listed on recognized exchanges. The Fund will endeavor to deliver lower volatility and will seek to capture value by focusing on equity selection opportunities. The fund may also invest in money market and other approved instruments including, but not limited to, listed and unlisted financial instruments in line with conditions as determined by legislation from time to time. The fund will be exposed to exchange rate risk. The Manager may, at its discretion, include in the portfolio listed and unlisted financial instruments for the exclusive purpose of hedging these exchange rate risks.

Biography | Ivan Missankov is a founding manager of MI Capital Investments, an investment company launched in 2009. M1 Capital was appointed the investment manager of the Prime General Equity Fund in August 2009. He joined the investment industry in 2000. He began his career at a prominent South African life insurance group where he was a portfolio manager and director overseeing R7 billion of large pension fund client assets. After spending 18 months as personal assistant to the CEO of the insurance group, he assumed responsibility for the group’s private equity business. He managed a R1 billion private equity fund which achieved a return of 40% p.a. over 4 years for pension fund and HNWI clients. |
