Investment Strategy

The investment objective of the Sub-Fund is to achieve a total return comprised of income and long term capital growth through investment primarily (meaning at least 80% of the Sub-Fund’s assets) in a broadly diversified portfolio of high yield bonds and in derivatives.

Biography	Mr. Cronk joined Alcentra in January 2013 as part of the combination of Alcentra with Standish Mellon Asset Management Company LLC’s high yield business, and is the Head of U.S. Credit Research and a member of the U.S. Investment Committee. Mr. Cronk joined Standish Mellon Asset Management Company LLC, an affiliate of BNYM Investment Adviser and Alcentra, in 2011 from Columbia Management, where he worked for eleven years as a High Yield Analyst and Portfolio Manager. Prior to that, he worked as a High Yield Investment Associate at Putnam Investments.

Biography	Scott is a member of the fixed income team. His role combines both portfolio management and credit analyst responsibilities, specialising in global investment grade and high-yield bonds across several sectors including energy, industrials and healthcare. Scott is co-lead manager of the Newton Sustainable Sterling Bond strategy and forms part of the portfolio management team dedicated to all sustainable fixed-income strategies. Scott joined Newton in 2009 and is a chartered accountant.

Biography	Parmi is a fixed income portfolio manager. In addition to his responsibilities as manager of the Newton Global High Yield strategy he is the lead manager on all Newton’s high-yield holdings. Parmi is also a co-manager of the Newton Global Dynamic Bond strategy and the co-lead manager of the Newton Global Dynamic Bond Income strategy. He is a member of the bond/FX and credit strategy groups and of the weekly credit meeting. Parmi began his career at Citigroup, where he worked in global portfolio management and became a senior associate. He joined Newton in 2006, and is a CFA charterholder. Parmi has a BSc in Economics and Politics from the London School of Economics. Outside of work, Parmi is an avid reader and enjoys travelling, wine and sports.
