Investment Strategy

The investment objective of the Sub-Fund is to achieve capital appreciation through investment in securities in the European Region, including the United Kingdom and Switzerland. In seeking to achieve the Sub-Fund’s investment objective, the Sub-Fund will primarily invest in equities and equity-related securities (convertible bonds) of companies that have their registered office in the European Region including the UK and Switzerland, the securities of which are listed or traded on Recognised Markets worldwide. The European Region includes countries such as Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Ireland, Greece, Malta, Portugal, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Turkey, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, the UK and Switzerland.

Sam began his investment career with Man GLG, before working as an Equity Analyst at Tideway Investment Partners LLP, helping to manage various European equity mandates. Sam graduated from the University of Bath with a BSc (Hons) in Business Administration and is a CFA Charterholder.

Biography	Bibiana joined EFGAM in 2007 and worked for three years as an Investment Analyst as part of the Hedge Fund Research team. She re-joined EFGAM in 2012 after successfully completing her MBA studies. She is the co-Portfolio Manager of the New Capital Dynamic European Equity Fund and the New Capital Europe Future Leaders Fund. Bibiana started her career at Marcuard Family Office, a multi-family office where she worked for three years as a Financial Analyst. Bibiana holds BA in Business Administration from ESADE and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She is also a CFA Charterholder.

Biography	Robin is Head of Equity Research at EFGAM. Robin is portfolio manager for the three core Dynamic Equity portfolios of US, UK and Europe and the research processes that underpin these equity strategies. Robin is also portfolio manager for the New Capital Dynamic European Fund and Global Equities Conviction portfolio. The equity strategies combine bottom-up stock picking with quantitative data systems and EFGAM’s key strength in macro. Prior to joining EFGAM, Robin spent nine years working at Cooper Investors in Melbourne Australia where he was portfolio manager for the Global Equities Fund. The Fund returned 8.5% annualised over 7 years, outperforming the MSCI by 5.6% annualised. (Source: CI)
