The fund invests in equities listed on the JSE Securities Exchange (JSE). The main objective is to achieve steady growth of capital and a higher return than the average general equity fund. It is managed using a proprietary quantitative investment process. As it is an equity fund it is suitable for investors with a long term investment horizon seeking to maximise growth and who are able to take the risks associated with equity funds. The portfolio will invest at least 80% in South African investments at all times, (to be classified Domestic). The portfolio will further invest at least 75% in equities, (to be classified Equity).

Biography | Warren is responsible for constructing and managing portfolios. In addition to these responsibilities, he is accountable for quantitative research, which is paramount to the success of the boutique’s strategies. He was appointed as a Quantitative Analyst in 1998 and participated in quantitative research and building quantitative models. He worked closely with Old Mutual Investment Group’s chief asset allocation strategist. Warren then joined the quantitative and risk unit when it was formed. Biography | Grant has 17 years of financial markets experience encompassing proprietary trading in currencies, equity derivatives, and hedge fund management. He has been with Futuregrowth Asset Management since 2004, which was acquired by OMIGSA in 2008. He manages various quantitative funds in the hedge funds; absolute return and long space. At OMIGSA – Quantitative Investments, Grant shares joint responsibility for driving the investment process; developing and implementing the Quantitative Investments boutique strategy and creating an enabling environment for the investment team to excel. Biography | Saliegh Salaam was appointed Head of Equities at Futuregrowth in November 2006. In February 2007, Mr. Salaam was appointed as the fund manager of Futuregrowth Albaraka Equity Fund. Before working at Futuregrowth, he worked for African Harvest Fund Managers and Investec Asset Management. He was one of the founding members of African Harvest Fund Managers, and worked for 8 years.
