Investment Strategy

The investment seeks competitive total return primarily from investing in fixed-income securities. The fund invests normally at least 80% of its net assets in fixed-income securities. It may invest up to 20% of its total assets in high yield securities (commonly known as "junk bonds") and up to 20% of its total assets in foreign securities (including up to 10% of its total assets in emerging markets), provided that the fund may not invest more than 30% of its total assets in high yield securities and foreign securities (including emerging markets) combined.
