Investment Strategy

The investment seeks growth of capital over the long term. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in securities of Canadian issuers and other investments that are tied economically to Canada. It invests potentially in securities of U.S. issuers. The fund normally invests primarily in common stocks. It invests up to 35% of total assets in any industry that accounts for more than 20% of the Canadian market. The fund uses fundamental analysis of factors such as each issuer's financial condition and industry position, as well as market and economic conditions, to select investments.

In addition to managing several funds for Canadian investors, Mr. Lemieux managed the Fidelity Canada Fund for U.S. investors from 2002 to 2008; he was named MarketWatch’s Mutual Fund Manager of the year in 2008 for this fund. Maxime received a BCom in finance from McGill University in Montreal in 1996.

Haber was also portfolio manager of the Fidelity Canadian Disciplined Equity Fund and the Fidelity Canadian Balanced Fund from their inception in Sep 1998 to Mar 2009. These funds each earned the 2009 Canada Lipper Fund Award as the top-performing fund of the decade in each of their respective categories.
