Investment Strategy

The Fund aims to achieve capital growth through investing at least 70% of its net assets in equity and equity related securities which are listed or traded on the stock exchanges of Central and Eastern European countries, including, without limitation, those in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, and Turkey. Such equity and equity related securities include common stocks, preferred stocks and depositary receipts.

Biography Stefan Herz, German. Stefan joined Charlemagne Capital in September 2004 as a fund manager and Head of Research. Prior to joining Charlemagne Capital, Stefan spent eleven years as a telecoms analyst, including eight years at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein where his focus was on emerging market telcos. During his time at DrKW, Stefan was also Head of Research for Emerging Europe for two years and prior to leaving, joint head of the telecoms research group. Biography Bottcher is director of portfolio investments for Charlemagne Capital (UK) Limited and is responsible for regional products. Prior to joining Charlemagne Capital (UK), from 1999 to 2001, he was executive director and head of emerging markets for Schroders. Prior to joining Schroders, he was employed at Fleming Investment Management for nine years, the last five of which he served as head of their Emerging Europe Group.
