Investment Strategy

The aim of the Fund is to manage the volatility (i.e. the degree of fluctuation of the returns) of its portfolio of investments at or around 10% and provide a return on your investment (generated through an increase in the value of the assets held by the Fund and/or income received from those assets). In seeking to achieve its investment objective, the Fund aims to invest at least 70% of its total assets in the following asset classes: equity securities and equity-related securities (i.e. other investments whose value is related to equity securities) globally, fixed income securities (i.e. both government and non-government bonds) and fixed income-related securities (i.e. other investments whose value in related to debt) globally, money market instruments (i.e. debt securities with short-term maturities), cash and assets that can be turned into cash quickly.

Biography	Dylan Hughes, CFA, Director, is a portfolio manager in BlackRock's Multi-Asset Client Solutions team. Mr. Hughes's service dates back to 2001, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. At BGI, he was a portfolio manager within the Client Solutions team and was responsible for overseeing the management of BGI's structured portfolios, including Market Advantage, Elite and LifePath. Prior to this, he worked in the Global Market Data (Fixed Income) and Portfolio Services & Accounting teams. Before joining BGI, Mr. Hughes was a private client equity trader at Henry Fox Stockbrokers in Cardiff. Mr. Hughes earned BSc, with honors, in economics from University of Wales in 1998 and a Masters degree in international economics, banking & finance from Cardiff University Business School in 1999.
