Investment Strategy

The investment seeks growth of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of the value of its net assets (plus borrowings for investment purposes) in equity securities. It principally invests in exchange-traded common stocks of domestic companies. Up to 35% of the fund's total assets may be invested in the common stock (or its equivalent) of and American Depositary Receipts ("ADRs") relating to foreign companies (including those located in emerging markets) that trade in the U.S. ADRs are issued by U.S. banks (depositories) and represent ownership interests in securities of foreign companies that are deposited with those banks.

Sharon received her Bachelor of Business Administration with Emphasis in Computer Science and M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with Honors.

Biography John Wallis is a member of the Investment Management Team, and is the Firm’s first Director of Qualitative Research. In that role, he leads the Firm’s continuing development of its qualitative equity analysis process, which complements the Firm’s extensive quantitative evaluation process. John has 25 years of institutional experience in portfolio management, publicly traded security analysis and private investment analysis. His prior experience encompasses related investment positions at Great Plains Energy, Meadowbrook Insurance Group and Dodson Group, all in the Kansas City area. John has a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University and a MBA with a concentration in Finance from Avila University, Kansas City, Missouri.
