The Sub-Fund seeks to maintain a stable trend in performance, while aiming to obtain a higher level of return than are usually achievable through money market instruments and at the same time keeping risk levels low. The net assets of this Sub-Fund are invested in debt securities, such as bonds, both with fixed and floating coupon rates, issued mainly by European issuers. The breakdown will be as follows: i. Mainly bonds issued by Government and Supranational issuers, of which at least 20% issued by Government belonging to the G8 countries and Supranational issuers, ii. corporate bonds with investment grade rating. Investments in securities not-rated or non-investment grade is not permitted. The Sub-Fund may invest in credit derivative instruments, including credit default swaps and credit spread derivatives, in order to hedge the credit risk specific to some issuers present in the portfolio.
