The investment seeks dividend income and long-term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 65% of its assets in equity securities of dividend paying companies that the sub-adviser expects to increase their dividends over time and also provide long-term appreciation. It principally invests in common stock. The fund may invest up to 25% of its assets in securities of companies outside the U.S. not including American Depositary Receipts and securities of foreign companies registered in the U.S. It generally holds large- and mid-capitalization companies.
