Investment Strategy

The fund’s investment objectives are to provide shareholders with (a) long-term capital appreciation through investment in a high quality portfolio of North American dividend-paying equity securities and (b) monthly cash distributions. The fund primarily invests in a portfolio of high quality North American dividend-paying equity securities based on a fundamental rules-based portfolio selection strategy that intends to create value and reduce risk over the investment period.

Biography	Frank Maeba, CFA, Managing Director, joined the firm as Senior Portfolio Manager in 2017 following the acquisition of Breton Hill Capital Ltd (BHC). Previously, Frank worked at Diversified Global Asset Management (DGAM), an alternative investment firm that was subsequently acquired by The Carlyle Group, where he was Head Trader for a multi-strategy fund, trading cash instruments and derivatives across equities, rates, FX, commodities and credit. Prior to DGAM, Frank was a Director with RBC Capital Markets where he traded FX and commodity option portfolios, and managed the London derivatives desk. He earned a BA (Hons) from University of Western Ontario, now known as Western University. Frank has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
