Investment Strategy

The Fund aims to provide capital growth in excess of the MSCI European Monetary Union (Net TR) index after fees have been deducted over a three to five year period by investing in equity and equity related securities of companies in countries participating in the European Monetary Union. The Fund is actively managed and invests at least 75% of its assets in equity and equity related securities of companies that are incorporated in the European Economic Area. The Fund invests at least two-thirds of its assets in equity and equity related securities of companies in countries whose currency is the Euro.

Gary joined Gartmore in January 2003 from Rothschild Asset Management where he was Assistant Director, European Equities managing both high performance Retail and Institutional mandates. Prior to this Gary worked at HSBC as a senior fund manager, he began his career at Prudential Portfolio Managers on the European desk. Gary graduated from Warwick University with an MSc in Economics and also from Leeds University with a BA (Hons) in Economics and Geography and is a member of AIMR.

Biography	Joined the Schroders Graduate Scheme in 1996 In 1998 he joined the pan European equity research department with responsibility for researching the Continental European insurance sector. Awarded the Hyperion Prize for Excellence for coming first overall in the IIMR examinations. Became an Associate Director in 2001 pan European equity research department with responsibility for researching the Continental European insurance sector.
