Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.94%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 0.96% or 0.27 points to trade at 28.37 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 0.61% or 0.14 points to end at 23.27 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.56% or 0.17 points to 30.52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.53% or 0.1260 points to trade at 3.4420 in late trade. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 3.19% or 0.240 points to end at 7.290 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) shed 2.47% or 0.210 points to 8.285.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 121 to 59 and 11 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 2.16% or 0.99 to $44.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.97% or 1.33 to hit $43.45 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.51% or 6.65 to trade at $1289.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.15% to 1.1517, while EUR/GBP rose 0.70% to 0.7916.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.32% at 92.83.
