The fund aims to provide medium to long-term capital growth with a low risk profile. Investments will, apart from assets in liquid form, consist solely of participatory interests or any other form of participation in portfolios of collective investment schemes or other similar schemes. Where these schemes are operated outside South Africa they will be included only where the regulatory environment provides investor protection at least equal to that in South Africa. The portfolio includes underlying portfolios invested in equity, bond, non-equity and property markets, as well as financial instruments. Equity will be limited to 40%. The fund will comply with all prudential requirements and regulations controlling retirement funds. Nothing shall preclude the manager from varying the ratios of securities to reflect changing economic and market conditions, and from retaining cash or placing cash on deposit. The manager reserves the right to close the portfolio to new investors

Biography | Jacy completed her BComm Hons degree in Financial Risk Management at the University of Stellenbosch, graduating cum laude. After university, she went to London to gain international financial market experience. She started working at Nomura Asset Management within Data Management, from where she moved within a year to the Fixed Income department to become an assistant portfolio manager. During her time in fixed income she also earned her CFA charter. In 2012, she was promoted to Portfolio Manager, and by the time that she left Nomura she was managing her own fund of $200 million for an institutional client. Biography | Adri matriculated from Hoërskool Menlopark with seven distinctions in 2002. By 2006, she completed the B Com degrees, Honnours in Investment Management and Financial Management, cum laude. She commenced her career with the FIRSTGLOBAL Group (Pretoria) in 2007 as junior investment administrator whereafter she moved on to RMB Private Bank and later Quantum Asset Management to obtain further experience in investment analysis and portfolio management. Adri completed the Level 3 exam of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA ®) program in 2009. In 2010 she obtained a diploma in financial planning (CFP) at the University of the Free State where she received the award for top achievement (best student for the year). Adri returned to the FIRSTGLOBAL Group on 1 November 2011 where she is now working as Investment Analyst for FG Asset Management. Adri will play an important role in the research, portfolio construction and reporting function of the FG Funds and we have no doubt that she will add tremendous value to the team. |
