The Old Mutual Mid & Small-Cap Fund will be a specialist portfolio that shall seek to provide and investment medium for investors, which shall have as its main objectives aggressive growth of capital. In order to achieve this objective, the securities normally to be included will consist of shares in companies with a market capitalization smaller than the company with the lowest market capitalization in the FTSE/JSE Top 40 Index.

Brian studied at the University of Natal (Pietermaritzburg) and completed articles with KPMG before joining Old Mutual Investment Group as an analyst in 1998. Biography | Warren joined the ELECTUS boutique in February 2012. He is the fund manager of the Old Mutual Small Companies Fund (unit trust) as well as having stock analysis responsibilities. His key value-add to ELECTUS is his in-depth knowledge of, and considerable insight into, the mid- and small cap sectors. Warren joined Old Mutual Investment Group South Africa (OMIGSA)’s Equity Research team in May 2006 as a research analyst and portfolio manager. He was named sector head of the mid- and Small Companies portfolio and the portfolio manager of the Old Mutual Small Companies Fund in September 2009. In addition, he managed a portion of the mid- and small cap components of OMIGSA’s institutional funds for six years. Prior to joining ELECTUS, Warren was a senior analyst and portfolio manager at Nedcor Investment bank for nine years. Warren has 22 years’ work experience in either analyst or portfolio management positions, both in South Africa and in London. | ||
