Investment Strategy

The investment seeks long-term growth of capital through investments primarily in the common stocks of companies located (or with primary operations) in Latin America. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets (including any borrowings for investment purposes) in Latin American companies. Under normal conditions, at least four countries will be represented in the fund's portfolio. The fund may purchase the stocks of companies of any size. It is non-diversified.

He went on to cover European small-caps before being promoted to portfolio manager in 1990. Mr. Edwards earned an M.A., with honours, in modern history from Cambridge University.
