Investment Strategy

The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, the fund will invest at least 80% of the value of its net assets (including amounts borrowed for investment purposes) in equity securities of companies of any size, including small- and mid-capitalization companies. It will invest at least 40% of its net assets in stocks of foreign companies drawn from at least three different countries (and at least 30% of its net assets in stocks of foreign companies if market conditions are not favorable).
