Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.91% or 0.132 points to trade at 4.670 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 1.38% or 0.42 points to end at 30.79 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.97% or 0.080 points to 8.300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 2.05% or 0.150 points to trade at 7.160 in late trade. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 1.97% or 0.46 points to end at 22.92 and Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) shed 0.92% or 0.19 points to 20.46.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 95 to 73 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.81% or 0.40 to $49.68 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.08% or 0.52 to hit $48.83 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.28% or 3.55 to trade at $1273.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.34% to 1.1275, while EUR/GBP fell 1.34% to 0.7718.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 94.72.
