Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 2.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK), which rose 7.90% or 0.40 points to trade at 5.39 at the close. UBI Banca (MI:UBI) added 7.03% or 0.1560 points to end at 2.3760 and Unicredit (MI:CRDI) was up 6.63% or 0.1300 points to 2.0900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Campari (MI:CPRI), which lost 0.15% or 0.01 points to trade at 9.80 in late trade. Italcementi (MI:ITAI) declined 0.09% or 0.010 points to end at 10.570 and Recordati (MI:RECI) gained 0.55% or 0.15 points to 27.43.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 286 to 101 and 28 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.95% or 0.45 to $47.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.24% or 0.61 to hit $49.77 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.35 to trade at $1343.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.1309, while EUR/GBP fell 0.48% to 0.8578.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 94.49.
