Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 2.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which fell 0.32% or 0.8 points to trade at 252.8 at the close. William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) fell 0.85% or 1.1 points to end at 128.1 and Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) was down 1.19% or 7.5 points to 625.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which lost 4.17% or 355 points to trade at 8155 in late trade. TDC A/S (CO:TDC) declined 3.93% or 1.31 points to end at 32.04 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) shed 3.49% or 285 points to 7880.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 123 to 25 and 12 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.05% or 0.49 to $47.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.79% or 0.38 to hit $48.34 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.64% or 8.75 to trade at $1367.45 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.10% to 6.7115, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4414.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 96.22.
