Investing.com - The S&P 500 index is once again climbing towards record high territory last seen in May 2015.
Wall Street ended mostly higher on Wednesday, with the S&P 500 closing up 0.3% at 2,119, just about 10 points away from its record closing high marked in May last year.
This week’s gains have been driven in large part due to hints that the Federal Reserve will hold off on raising interest rates in June and possibly the entire summer and as oil prices rallied to the highest level since July.
