In a report, Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation said that Canadian housing starts fell to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 192.9K, from 219.4K in the preceding month whose figure was revised down from 220.6K.
Analysts had expected Canadian housing starts to fall to 195.0K last month.
