Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Household, Retail and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which rose 5.53% or 0.1300 points to trade at 2.4800 at the close. National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) added 5.26% or 0.01 points to end at 0.20 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was up 3.59% or 0.190 points to 5.480 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which lost 9.52% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.114 in late trade. Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) declined 7.49% or 0.051 points to end at 0.630 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) shed 5.08% or 0.006 points to 0.112.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 52 to 35 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.27% or 3.55 to $1326.15 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.60% or 0.28 to hit $47.05 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.90% or 0.44 to trade at $49.49 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1282, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.8553.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 94.70.
