Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which rose 11.94% or 0.3120 points to trade at 2.9260 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V) added 4.21% or 0.154 points to end at 3.814 and Fortum Oyj (HEL:FUM1V) was up 2.80% or 0.39 points to 14.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HEL:ORNBV), which fell 8.85% or 3.10 points to trade at 31.93 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE) declined 1.42% or 0.31 points to end at 21.58 and Kesko Oyj B (HEL:KESBV) was down 1.12% or 0.37 points to 32.52.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 98 to 72 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.43% or 0.23 to $52.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $48.58 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1146.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.19% to 1.1252, while EUR/GBP fell 0.87% to 0.7338.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 95.57.
