Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 0.53% or 0.25 points to trade at 47.57 at the close. Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) added 0.46% or 1.3 points to end at 286.8 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was up 0.26% or 0.20 points to 76.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 3.12% or 15.00 points to trade at 466.00 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 2.70% or 0.91 points to end at 32.83 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) shed 2.39% or 3.60 points to 146.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 323 to 240 and 43 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.66% or 1.22 to $44.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 3.21% or 1.52 to hit $45.85 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.47% or 6.05 to trade at $1296.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.16% to 9.1848, while USD/SEK fell 0.70% to 7.9752.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 92.65.
