Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Construction & Building Materials, Forestry & Paper and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Taqa Morocco SA (CS:TQM), which rose 7.58% or 50.00 points to trade at 710.00 at the close. Lydec (CS:LYD) added 5.82% or 29.00 points to end at 527.00 and Colorado (CS:COL) was up 3.80% or 1.90 points to 51.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA), which lost 6.08% or 1.49 points to trade at 23.00 in late trade. Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) declined 5.94% or 39 points to end at 616 and Oulmes (CS:OULM) shed 5.85% or 76 points to 1224.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 16 and 9 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.92% or 0.40 to $43.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.72% or 0.33 to hit $46.37 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.51% or 6.85 to trade at $1343.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.21% to 10.8880, while USD/MAD fell 0.17% to 9.7498.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 95.64.
