Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Holding Companies, Transport and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which rose 8.31% or 9.55 points to trade at 124.50 at the close. Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) added 6.39% or 1.44 points to end at 23.96 and Timar (CS:TIM) was up 5.73% or 18.00 points to 332.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Eqdom (CS:EQDM), which lost 5.99% or 61 points to trade at 959 in late trade. Snep (CS:SNP) declined 3.58% or 2.97 points to end at 80.03 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) shed 2.53% or 0.45 points to 17.35.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 15 and 5 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.09% or 0.04 to $46.54 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.85% or 0.42 to hit $49.65 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.55% or 7.45 to trade at $1349.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.16% to 10.9280, while USD/MAD fell 0.08% to 9.6968.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 94.88.
